The Round Table

Details (what, where, when)

The aim of the Swiss Transit Lab is to develop answers to some of the most challenging questions relating to transport of the future. Importantly, thinking at STL is not limited to issues within the Canton nor to particular sectors.

Since March 2018, a Swiss Transit Lab driverless bus will operate as a shuttle service in Schaffhausen, fully integrated into the local bus operator’s transport management system. However, this development will not resolve all questions at a stroke e.g. about infrastructure, what citizens want and legal considerations. To ensure these wider considerations are examined, a Round Table will be established in 2019, bringing together representatives from industry, private and public transport, the academic community and local government.

The outcomes of each Round Table discussion will be published here so that as many people as possible can access the solutions considered in the session.
